REPORT #7 Details.

Project: Jasper
Category: Bug Report
SubCategory: New Bug Report
Class: swbug
State: received
Priority: high
Severity: critical
Confidence: public
Environment:
   Release: version 3.1
   JVM Release: 1.3
   Operating System: Windows
   OS Release: 98
   Platform: Intel

Synopsis:
Element "env-entry" allows no further input; "env-entry-value" is not allowed

Description:
Below is what in my WEB-INF/web.xml for my application:

<!DOCTYPE web-app PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD Web Application 2.2//EN" "http://java.sun.com/j2ee/dtds/web-app_2_2.dtd">

<web-app>
 .
 .
 .
   <env-entry>
	<description>Some description</description>
	<env-entry-name>name1</env-entry-name>
	<env-entry-type>java.lang.String</env-entry-type>
	<env-entry-value>\usr\local\test</env-entry-value>
   </env-entry>
</web-app>

Although the DTD says:

   <!ELEMENT env-entry (description?, env-entry-name,
    env-entry-value?, env-entry-type)>

The Jasper is still going to complain about env-entry-value:

org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to open taglibrary ejbtags : Parse Error in the
tag library descriptor: Element "env-entry" allows no further input; "env-entry-value" is
not allowed.

The problem will go away as soon as I remove env-entry-value
from the web.xml
