Forwarding it here in case this list is the (permanent?) replacement for http://jakarta.apache.org/bugs/index.html. Also, the dev mailing list hasn't been archived since May 30. Has there been any talk about 3.2? -arun ------_=_NextPart_000_01BFDADC.3BF0EDAE Content-Type: message/rfc822 Content-Description: Shutting down TomCat when it is bound to a different IP Message-ID: <0941E0D29BB1D21184F300105A9CB785C9E610@PST> From: Arun Katkere Reply-To: tomcat-user@jakarta.apache.org To: "'tomcat-user@jakarta.apache.org'" Subject: Shutting down TomCat when it is bound to a different IP Date: Sat, 10 Jun 2000 11:51:40 -0700 MIME-Version: 1.0 X-Mailer: Internet Mail Service (5.5.2650.21) List-Help: List-Unsubscribe: Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" If we bind TomCat to a particular IP via "inet" parameter (is there any documentation for such things? How much more time do we have to look at the code to figure out these things?): How do we shut it down? ./bin/shutdown.sh always tries to connect to localhost and doesn't find Ajp12 service there. We are trying to configure Apache with vhost and have one TomCat instance per vhost. The workaround is to use a different port, of course. Also, is generated tomcat-apache.conf templatized somewhere? We are using hand edited tomcat.conf right now (and copy mappings from generated tomcat-apache.conf), but there has got to be a better way. -arun ps: JavaOne has come and gone, but no sign of 3.2. Is it coming soon? Will our lives be any better in terms of setup and maintanence? ps2: I didn't mean to sound ungrateful about the effort. If there is anything I can do to help make it better, let me know.. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, email: tomcat-user-unsubscribe@jakarta.apache.org For additional commmands, email: tomcat-user-help@jakarta.apache.org ------_=_NextPart_000_01BFDADC.3BF0EDAE--
