Ok, since there is an error in that page, I forgive you and answer your
question here :-)

You have got to import the attribute, then you can use it as a normal bean:

SNIP
<tiles:importAttribute name="nameOfYourAttribute" />
<Mytag name="${nameOfYourAttribute}" />
