    THRIFT-3993 fix build error with gcc 6.2 and mingw

    We don't have a CI build that covers mingw and gcc 6.2 on windows... can anybody else
try this to see if it works?

You can merge this pull request into a Git repository by running:

    $ git pull https://github.com/jeking3/thrift THRIFT-3993

Alternatively you can review and apply these changes as the patch at:
