James E. King, III resolved THRIFT-775.
---------------------------------------
       Resolution: Unresolved
         Assignee: James E. King, III
    Fix Version/s: 0.11.0

Issue is 7 years old. Closing. I use perl thrift regularly; performance improvements would
be useful but we should open a new ticket if we're going to make those improvements.

> The Perl libraries are 5-20x slower than the Java libraries for the same data. Possible
performance boosters:
> - make fewer OO method calls
> - build and use monolithic pack/unpack templates when possible
