You should be able to run Apache with PHP on port 80 and use the proxy  
module to map in the Tapestry application (running on another port).

Something along the lines of:
ProxyPass         /myapp  http://localhost:8081/myapp
ProxyPassReverse  /myapp  http://localhost:8081/myapp
