Subject [jira] [Commented] (TAP5-2042) Favico url malformed when the page has a context in the request
Date Fri, 04 Jan 2013 21:48:13 GMT

Howard M. Lewis Ship commented on TAP5-2042:
--------------------------------------------

This will go away if you have an actual favicon.ico file.

Whats happening is that the browser is asking automatically for the favicon.ico file, and
that looks to Tapestry like a request for the Index page; it fails trying to convert the string
into a number, so as to invoke your activate event handler method.

Tapestry should probably filter out requests for favicon.ico.

Also, you can solve this problem by providing a real favicon.ico file; Tapestry will always
defer to a static file that exists, rather than handle the request.
