Subject RE: connection pooling

Suppose I will put following code in my struts-config.xml instead of
tomcat's server.xml will it work as per the expectation for abandoned
connection.

    <set-property property="maxCount"  value="1500"/>
    <set-property property="minCount"   value="1500"/>      
     <set-property property="username" value="jpatel" />
     <set-property property="password" value="jpatel" />  
     <set-property property="removeAbandoned" value="true"/>  
     <set-property property="removeAbandonedTimeout" value="300"/>   
     <set-property property="logAbandoned" value="true"/>
