Yes, its really strange. Do you use Tomcat 4.0.3 whith jdk 1.4?

I use CheckLogonTag which was copy-pasted from struts-example.

The code returns SKIP_PAGE when authentication failed instead of SKIP_BODY
like yours..

It works fine for me.
