Subject RE: Xml to database

I would be happy to share how mapping works. It is not easy to explain
through email. If you can be more specific about what you want to know that
would be good. I can direct you to where I learned or find the answer for
you.

More on xmldbms if you don't mind ...

Where did you learn to create map files . That is because I would like a
more easy example that the one included in 1.01.

Tks

Not much. I only use it in a narrow case. I use in the process of coverting
unidentifiable/non-relational data into identifiable/relational data. The
proccess goes roughly like this. Fields in a tab/comma file are mapped
against an xml template. This translate the tab/comma into the xml format
that can then use object the relational mapping (provided by xmldbms) to
create the tables in a database of my choice.

I know I might be a bit naive, but what are the advantages of using an
xml-rdbms parser?

Thanks

Peter
