compiled on mac and linux, verified unit tests and checksums

I opened two tickets due to problems I encountered running the ITs:

STREAMS-610 <>
Upgrade failsafe plugin

STREAMS-611 <>
Failing integration tests in streams-provider-google-gplus

I was able to overcome both issues easily, after which all ITs passed.

I don’t believe either warrants a -1. We can merge these fixes once the new
development branch is official.
