Subject [GitHub] incubator-streams pull request: Streams 296
Date Mon, 23 Mar 2015 18:08:17 GMT
GitHub user steveblackmon opened a pull request:

    Streams 296

    Quick fix to ensure documents are not discarded by ESPersistWriter before they are recieved
as WebHdfsPersistReader terminates.
    These changes ensure ElasticsearchHdfsIT in incubator-streams-examples/elasticsearch-hdfs
is able to pass.

You can merge this pull request into a Git repository by running:

    $ git pull STREAMS-296

Alternatively you can review and apply these changes as the patch at:

    added mandatory pauses as providers and persist writers terminate to mitigate race condition
causing document loss

    switch to use uninterruptibles for thread sleep, and add additional pausing to tasks experiencing
race conditions on interrupts.
    this is not the ideal fix to the root cause which I believe to be sloppy thread management
throughout streams-runtime-local, but it is sufficient to ensure the integration test proposed
for incubator-streams-examples/elasticsearch-hdfs passes.
