We are sorry for the late reply. 

Very happy to see your interest on Apache Stratos.

Please start with building the source. I guess the documentation has covered a lot from architecture
and development aspects. Please send any of your concerns to the dev list(dev@stratos.incubator.apache.org).

May be you can pick an open issue out of minor level issues,
