Subject [jira] Commented: (STDCXX-686) redesign web site
Date Thu, 13 Mar 2008 12:31:46 GMT

Gavin commented on STDCXX-686:

Thanks for doing the patch. Somewhere along the line, something stuffed up.

Looking at , the first 3 files have
been added to main current live site structure.

So can you move the following :-

stdcxx/site/forrest/index.xml  ---> stdcxx/site/forrest/src/docuementation/xdocs/developers/index.xml

stdcxx/site/forrest/mission.xml ---> stdcxx/site/forrest/src/docuementation/xdocs/mission.xml

stdcxx/site/forrest/news.xml --->  stdcxx/site/forrest/src/docuementation/xdocs/news.xml

The last one is also in the wrong place :-

stdcxx/site/forrest/symbols-project-v10.ent ---> stdcxx/forrest/src/documentation/resources/schema/symbols-project-v10.ent

Hopefully then, the site will build fine, and cron will update your temp site on people.

> The current web site is a bunch of static HTML pages with a lot of difficult-to-maintain
formatting cruft copied from pages of another incubator project. We should look into generating
the site from easier-to-maintain "sources" using a tool like Apache Forrest or some such.
