Veena Basavaraj edited comment on SQOOP-1821 at 12/3/14 6:48 PM:
-----------------------------------------------------------------

[~vinothchandar] reported this issue first, that having an external connector working in current
Sqoop2 is not straightforward.

So I went down the path myself and it is issue that should be addressed and pitfalls documented
for more connector contribution

Issue: Using common.loader property to load the external connector does not work. The only
way to get this working now is a hack to package the new connector into sqoop war I suppose.
Have not tried this yet myself so cannot be sure

with the Sqoop2. They had to do some hacks to include this new jar into the class path.
