One way to fix this is to provide an overloaded Scala method that accepts the same set of old arguments and which calls the new method with an explicit default (e.g. the way that you'd add a new parameter in Java while retaining backwards-compatibility). --- If your project is set up for it, you can reply to this email and have your reply appear on GitHub as well.
