    @jegonzal PMML is essentially a domain-specific language (DSL) for the domain of predictive
analytic applications. It is commonly used only for the representation of statistical and
data mining models (ie. simple "model export" functionality). But it can do much more, including
chaining multiple models together into a so-called model ensemble, implementing complex data
pre- and post-processing logic, adding annotations and machine-readable documentation to the
solution and so on.
    I have a separate project in the works that deals specifically with translating memory-
and CPU-intensive parts of PMML documents into Java source code for more efficient execution.
