Subject [jira] [Commented] (SPARK-20522) hostname -f does not work with coreutils
Date Fri, 28 Apr 2017 09:57:04 GMT

Sean Owen commented on SPARK-20522:

Which version of Linux doesn't it work on -- anything reasonable to support?
we special-cased this for Solaris in SPARK-17944, could do something else here if it's possible
to identify this case.

> This option is not available in all versions of linux. See for example the coreutils
documentation on the `hostname` cli:
> This means that the `./sbin/` does not work.
