I will reopen this issue instead of SPARK-17732. This issue includes SPARK-17732 . When I
created SPARK-17732, I mistakenly didn't notice this one. SPARK-17732 tried to add operators
like '<', but eventually it turns out that we also need to support *expressions for values*
in predicates.
