Subject [jira] [Commented] (SPARK-16304) LinkageError should not crash Spark executor
Date Thu, 30 Jun 2016 06:58:10 GMT

Sean Owen commented on SPARK-16304:

The executor isn't shared though, it's specific to one app. I get that sometimes people actually
send different types of requests through one context, which sorta takes this risk inherently.
Or: this logic suggests no errors should be fatal to the executor -- does that make sense,
or why is a linkage error special?

This is not great for user experience.
