Ah, thanks for providing these extra details; this is very helpful.

My hunch is that DDL operations like CREATE TABLE aren't triggering the execution of Spark
jobs, explaining why you don't see any queries on the SQL page. My hunch is that you'd see
some output there if you ran an actual query against that table after creating it, though.
