Subject [jira] [Created] (SPARK-7978) DecimalType should not be singleton
Date Sun, 31 May 2015 05:17:17 GMT
Davies Liu created SPARK-7978:
---------------------------------

             Summary: DecimalType should not be singleton
                 Key: SPARK-7978
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SPARK-7978
             Project: Spark
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: PySpark, SQL
    Affects Versions: 1.4.0
            Reporter: Davies Liu
            Assignee: Davies Liu
            Priority: Blocker

The DecimalType can not be constructed with parameters. When it's constructed without parameters,
we always get same objects, which is wrong.

{code}
>>> from pyspark.sql.types import *
>>> DecimalType(1, 2)
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module>
TypeError: __call__() takes exactly 1 argument (3 given)
>>> DecimalType()
DecimalType()
{code}
