Subject [jira] [Created] (SPARK-4102) ShuffleReader.stop() method is never implemented or called; should be deleted.
Date Mon, 27 Oct 2014 21:28:33 GMT
Kay Ousterhout created SPARK-4102:
-------------------------------------

Summary: ShuffleReader.stop() method is never implemented or called; should be
deleted.
                 Key: SPARK-4102
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SPARK-4102
             Project: Spark
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: Spark Core
    Affects Versions: 1.1.0, 1.2.0
            Reporter: Kay Ousterhout
            Assignee: Kay Ousterhout
            Priority: Trivial

As-is, the presence of this method is misleading. If a future subclass implements it, it
will never be called. Until it's needed, we should just remove it.
