Well, yeah.  I didn't explain completely.  The printf is 5.2f, which
means that single digit scores have a space in front -- those go first,
followed by the negatives, followed by >=10 positives.

So it comes out sorted like this:

 0.00
 2.00
 4.00
 6.00
 8.00
-10.00
-2.00
-20.00
-4.00
-40.00
-6.00
-60.00
-8.00
10.00
20.00
40.00
60.00

Clearly that's crap, which is what ASCII sorting tends to be.
