Subject [jira] [Commented] (SLING-2093) Reverse mapping with insufficient access rights truncates path

Justin Edelson commented on SLING-2093:
---------------------------------------

test case added in r1131116

currently, if any node in the path being mapped isn't visible, the entire path is not aliased.
while this is an improvement on the old, totally buggy, behavior, I think it'd be great if
as much of the path was aliased as possible.

Toby - if this is something you can submit a patch for in relatively short order, please do
so. Otherwise, I'll marked this issue as resolved and create a separate issue to handle partial
aliasing.

> when a user has read access to a node but not it's parent nodes, the reverse mapping
aborts during the alias resolution and leaves the path truncated.
> eg: map("/content/foo/bar") -> "/bar" (if user can't read /content/foo).
