Les's comment above implied that the patch would break backwards compatibility, so that needs
a little evaluation.

Also, it probably just a little dusting off, I'm guessing most of the individual patch diffs
will still apply, but it may take a little work.

If you want to pick it up, and send in a pull request, that would be great!

 This has been low priority for the Shiro dev team since Shiro itself doesn't use it (only
