Due to the maven 'logic', "compile" is the default scope, putting the jar everywhere (this
is also the default scope). What you actually want is having it *only* in compile scope. Which
is the "provided" scope.  This probably should be changed, unless it is instrumental that
the annotations are available at runtime (which shouldn't be the normal case).
