Couple more questions:

1.  Are use using clay with JSP or full XML/HTML views?

2. Can you verify that the "getMyLocale" method is getting invoked in the backing bean (not
by the outputText binding).  The reason I ask is if you look at the logic for the getLocale
of the view root [1], it skips the value binding if the private variable has a value.
