Even changing "/" to "\" is not working. I am getting the same
exception. I have tried some solutions given on net like

http://www.laliluna.de/260.html, but nothing seems to be working.

Hmm... at this point I can't remember if you have to change all the "/"
characters to "\" in the context.xml file for docBase...

Yes I did. Every time I made a change, I restart tomcat.

did you restart tomcat after modifying roller-custom.properties and
context.xml?

But how about db exception

"[org.apache.tomcat.dbcp.dbcp.SQLNestedException: Cannot create JDBC
driver of class '' for connect URL 'null'"

When I use jndi seetings? Or should I tried gmail account with my
previous seetings?

No, you don't need to run it from source. I had a lot of trouble when
trying
to use my domain's email account, and that's when I created a test
google
email account, and I found out the problem was with my email and not in
Roller. That's why I told you to test it with a google email account,
and
see if the problem still persists, or if you have to focus on the email
side...

Alfonso

I am using the latest version of roller, apache-roller-4.0.1, just
download it 3 days back. And I am not building it from source. Do I need
to build it from source or is there any other way I can try it out?

It is possible that you are experiencing Bug ROL-1694:
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ROL-1694

If you are building from source you can try the suggested fix. I am
expecting this will be fixed before the next release.
