Glen Mazza closed ROL-1114.
---------------------------

    Resolution: Won't Fix

Today people should use Google Analytics or similar for the best referrer tracking. It wouldn't
be useful here for Roller to reinvent the wheel.

> The current implemenation of referrers introduces a performance strain, but doesn't meet
many of the user needs nor does it provide an adequate offsetting benefit. In addition to
separating hit counts from referrer data (http://opensource.atlassian.com/projects/roller/browse/ROL-1023),
also need improved data processingso users can have access to more useful referrer data (one
ex: http://opensource.atlassian.com/projects/roller/browse/ROL-841) and a more effective implemenation
of referrers. Allen has suggested use of referrer reporting tools such as technorati or omniture
for identifying links to specific entries.
> Many of the open referrer CRs can be addressed by delivering this CR.
