Yes, but in order to configure a LookupLocator, you need a constructor 
to specifiy in the config file.

like

a.b.c {
	socketFactory = new MySocketFactory();
	lookupLocator = new LookupLocator("jini://d", socketFactory );
}

instead of (without)
a.b.c {
	lookupLocator = new LookupLocator("jini://d" );
}
