Markus Weimer commented on REEF-1664:
-------------------------------------

I think the idea here is to create a framework to test *users* of IMRU, right? The majority
(if not all) of the current IMRU tests test IMRU itself, right? If so, they would not have
to change.

> Introduce test framework for IMRU
> ---------------------------------
>
> Key: REEF-1664
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/REEF-1664
> Project: REEF
> Issue Type: New Feature
> Components: IMRU
> Environment: C#
> Reporter: Dhruv Mahajan
> Priority: Minor
>
> Currently to simulate the IMRU run, {{InProcessIMRUClient}} exists. However, it is very
limited for users to correctly test IMRU at fine grained level, since it neither provide functions
like {{TakeMapStep}}, {{TakeUpdateStep}}, {{ContinurForKSteps}}, etc, nor does it expose {{TMapInput}},
{{TMapOutput}}, etc.. publicly for users to compare against expected results.
> The aim of this JIRA is to either extend this client to enable above functionality for
thorough testing or create a separate test framework.
