So you're saying that whoever implements {{IStateManager}} will also implement {{IUpdateTask}},
so they will know whatever methods it has and call them directly, casting {{IStateManager}}
to their implementation directly? 

This is possible, but I feel this approach will be extremely confusing to anybody who tries
to implement something like this by just reading REEF code. If we have interface methods to
store and read latest state, it gives at least some idea for what has to be implemented.
