Subject [jira] [Commented] (REEF-1249) Add REEF Poison to REEF.NET

Markus Weimer commented on REEF-1249:
-------------------------------------

One tricky aspect with this is to make sure that the *right* thing crashes: We'd want to check
for both Evaluator and Task failures.

> Java side of the code has project {{reef-poison}} which provides fault injection mechanism
for REEF. It is used in {{reef-tests}} to simulate failure scenarios.
> We need to duplicate this project in REEF.NET. Then we can use it to inject faults in
ContextStartHandler to simulate evaluator and task failures in .Net REEF Evaluator.
> The plan is:
> * create a generic {{PoisonedEventHandler}} which implements {{EventHandler}} in a way
that fails with given probability during given period of time, and does nothing otherwise.
> * write a test similar to Java side {{FailureTest}} which exercises these failures.
