Yingda Chen edited comment on REEF-6 at 10/24/14 9:23 PM:
----------------------------------------------------------

I will review this, but before we can commit this, thorough testing is needed. And for that
first I need to get all the .NET things up and running again. So this will probably need to
wait till we bring Reef to a running stage (both Java and .NET), after REEF-13 is done.

So there may be some wait before it can be committed. I will definitely be doing eye-ball
code-review first before testing it.

> REEF today uses a very conservative protocol when interacting with YARN, which only allows
for one allocation request to be in flight at a time.
> We can improve upon this by allowing one kind of allocation request to be in flight at
a time without giving up the safety of the current approach.
