Subject What is the point of adding properties to a message in LV queue
Date Wed, 26 Dec 2012 05:15:45 GMT
I am having a little trouble understanding the point of adding the
properties field to a message even if its related to the LV queue header.
For instance the following two senders will do absolutely the same thing

            Session sess = connection.CreateSession();
            Sender sender = sess.CreateSender("prices;{create:always,
node:{type:queue,x-declare:{arguments:{'qpid.last_value_queue_key':ticker}}}}");

            Message msga = new Message("Hello");
            sender.Send(msga);

and then adding a property to the message. What difference does it make if
I add this property or not. because the queue is always updated by the
latest value.
msga.Properties["tick"] = "HP"; //Attach the

also if i wanted to keep a record of latest price of 3 different symbols
say A,B and C will I need to have 3 different LVQ for each symbol ?
