Hi Stefan,

Sorry for the delayed response.

 From the trace I see you are using digest-md5 and a sasl negotiated 
security layer. I haven't tried digest-md5 myself yet, but it looks like 
you have uncovered a bug, probably somewhere in the security layer support.
