The qpid-tool utility might be useful here. You can connect to your
broker (qpid-tool hostname:port), then list the queues (list queue),
then see the details of the queue you are interested in (show <id>,
where id is given in the previous listing).

This shows the number of enqueues and dequeues and the resulting queue
depth in messages and bytes.
