Great, thats what I was looking for. This is the root cause of the
problem, though clearly the handling of this on the java side is also an
issue.

That should be 64 files of 128*32k(4M) each, i.e. about 262M total
journal space. I think the exception is thrown at about 80% capacity or
so to allow space for dequeue records to correct the situation.

How large are your messages?
