You shouldn't be picking up the posix versions. There is a conditional 
include of platform specific headers:

#if (defined(_WINDOWS) || defined (WIN32)) && defined(_MSC_VER)

I.e. make sure either _WINDOWS or WIN32 is defined and also that 
_MSC_VER is defined.
