Hi scott,

I have a link on my page which takes the user to another portlet which
is on some other page.=20

I got it working. I created a page(can be called a second level page)
and deployed a portlet on it.=20

Then I just specified the relative url (jetspeed/portal/pagename) in the
link and it worked.

I am not still able to figure out the search box issue. Plz see the
enclosed mails.
The search box request must be passed to a servlet.
I have created a .vm file for this where I have a html form tag and I
try to call an action on it but somehow it doesn't work.

Any ideas?

It can be either one of the cases that you have mentioned.
Could you explain how to go about them?

Another question:
Will javascript work? If yes, can we get the values of form elements in
javascript?

Sorry for asking too many questions but Velocity appears totally
different from JSP.

I am not sure I understand fully.  Is the search box tied to a portlet
or
will it be the result of a direct request to a servlet?
