Subject [jira] Commented: (JS2-545) Simple Velocity Portlet Documentation
Date Thu, 15 Jun 2006 09:23:30 GMT

Ate Douma commented on JS2-545:
-------------------------------

I've been thinking of maybe adding a VelocityViewPortlet to the velocity-bridge which can
run Velocity templates directly (similar to the VelocityViewServlet from velocity-tools).
That way, there would be no additional dependencies (except for velocity itself) and no
need anymore to define a servlet and servlet mapping in web.xml.
Then your example *would* run out of the box.

Not sure if there would be enough interest for it though as hooking up a velocity servlet
is
still easy enough.
