I have just noticed that I am getting following exception on every click (before deploying
portlets). There is no such file in my war... I have attached you my build.props as well ...

war into deploy folder?

Yes, its having trouble with the web.xml parsing
I'll see if I can patch it up ....

I put some sample apps here that have been tested with J2 and Fusion:
