Subject RE: Inner Classes and loader error?
Date Mon, 07 Jan 2002 23:43:19 GMT
Finally found problem.
We had been using this code under Tomcat so it wasn't a problem with loading
inner classes although from the trace, that's what it appeared to be.

Instead it was a problem with a jar file for a class used by the inner class
that was't available in Jetspeed. Once we added that jar file, it worked.

(I've attached screen shot for those interested).

Now, the first screen looks fine, exactly what I would expect. However, if
I hit save or next or last buttons, then the image takes over the entire
page, not just the frame. Apparently I have to manage the frame I direct
to? That seems odd. I thought jetspeed would handle keeping my direction
back to the same frame. Somehow the first time I show the page it does, but
after that I don't seen anything about Jetspeed, i.e. not in the Jetspeed
frame. How do I work with this?

This kind of problems come usually bound to the servlet container you
are using. Can you please elaborate more on this problem? (which
container, detailed stack trace, ...) Tomcat 4 has had a lot of problems
related with class loading.
