Sorry I entered the wrong POI version. The version I am using is the 3.10.1=
 (I
changed it in this bug)

If I write the string:=20

hgh_x0041_**_x0100_*_x0101_*_x0190_*_x0200_*_x0300_*_x0427_*

into a cell the following appears on the screen:=20

hghA**=C4=80*=C4=81*=C6=90*=C8=80*=CC=80*=D0=A7*

So the problem occurs (so it seems) for all strings with the pattern: _xhhh=
h_
where h is a hex digit and x is exact a lower x.

I will try to use the latest poi version if I find the time. I think this w=
ill
last some days.
