OK. This is certainly doable in Pivot. It isn't overly complex, but it also isn't trivial. If anyone wants to take a stab at writing such an example, I'm sure Rey would appreciate it. It would also make a great addition to the demos page.

Hello Sir!

Yes, that's all I want. When a mouse pointer hovers over an image, it will magnify. Of course, the image will respond too with click event.

I get an HTTP error trying to load that page.  The Mac OS X dock can have many effects tied to it - are you specifically talking about the magnification effect as you roll over icons?

The feature of the dock menu is something like this:

The first two image responds to a click event by displaying a sample dialog.

Can you explain in more detail how you imagine this menu might work? Specifically, what features of the dock are you trying to replicate?

Hello Sir!

I am planning to use Mac OS style dock menu for my app instead of the usual Toolbar button. When I click on the image, a data-entry form will appear. Each image has its corresponding form/dialog when clicked. The only reason for this, is that, it is "nicer to look at and its modern looking".  Would that be possible sir?

Thanks for your quick reply.

I am familiar with the OS X dock, but I am not exactly sure what you are trying to accomplish in your application. Can you try to describe what you are looking for in more detail?

Good Day!

I hope someone can give me pointers on how this can be done the Pivot way. There are a lot of samples in Javascript (Dojo,JQuery,Nitobi,ExtJS,Motools). Unbelievably, I didn't find a single sample/demo in Java!  Even Sun's Pet Store web Application tutorial uses javascript/ajax for the fisheye menu.

Well...in fairness, I found one written in JavaFX script but that's another story and I'm not impressed with that one.

Thanks for any suggestion.
Hopefully, the Pivot Team could come up with this kind of demo in the future.

Respectfully,

Rey
