Subject What is the purpose of junit.hadoop.conf ?
Date Wed, 05 Aug 2009 23:39:28 GMT
While working on shimming hadoop versions for Pig, I noticed that dong
'ant test' created a directory called 'pigtest' in my home directory.
This was caused by the following line in build.xml:

<property name="junit.hadoop.conf" value="${user.home}/pigtest/conf/"/>

It also didn't get cleaned out by 'ant clean', naturally, so ant test
kept producing amusingly inconsistent results as I switched between
Hadoop 18 and 20..

What's the purpose of junit.hadoop.conf? Can we move it to
${build.dir}/pigtest/conf or some other suitable location?
