Subject [jira] Commented: (PIG-225) \r in windows
Date Mon, 12 May 2008 16:08:57 GMT

Alan Gates commented on PIG-225:

Officially, pig is supposed to support operations on windows. Practically we haven't been
spending cycles on making sure it works in windows. I noticed that when we modified the unit
tests to run local and map reduce, almost all the local tests fail in windows. I have no
idea what the effort would be to get all these working.

Bottom line, we'd like to make it work on windows, but we need someone to take that on.
