Mihir Monani commented on PHOENIX-5199:
---------------------------------------

{quote}do we require different pherf.properties file in a single run? Is that the reason why
we are reloading the file over again everytime?
{quote}
[~karanmehta93] Pherf supports overriding some properties at run time via 1) command line
arguments 2) scenarios where you want to do mix of Read/Write during query execution part(
using option "-q" )

For case 1) , when we need to override configuration with command line arguments (like number
of thread, monitor frequency) instead of making changes in pherf.properties, overriding of
default properties is required.  just like case 2)

> Pherf overrides user provided properties like dataloader threadpool, monitor frequency
etc with pherf.properties
