[~karanmehta93] I didn't test this from on an out of the box phoenix branch.

But it occurred while working on our project that is on HDP stack 3.0.1 with Phoenix 5.0
and the client we use is 5.0.0-HBase-2.0.

So I guess this would be associated to this tag [https://github.com/apache/phoenix/tree/v5.0.0-HBase-2.0|http://example.com].
